Will a solar kit fit my balcony?
Measure your railing, say what it's made of and which way it faces. You'll see which kit type suits your balcony, as a guide based on typical full-size panels.
Your result
A guide only, based on typical full-size panels: about 1.7m to 1.8m long, 1.1m wide and 20 to 25kg each. We'll give exact sizes and weights for each kit once our range is confirmed.

Measuring tips
- Measure along the top rail, from one post or corner to the next.
- Note the height of the top rail from the floor, and the gap between bars. Brackets come in set sizes.
- For round bars or tubes, measure the thickness too. Some brackets only fit certain sizes.
- Take a photo of the railing from inside and out. It helps your landlord or building say yes.

How heavy are balcony solar panels?
Full-size panels usually weigh about 20 to 25kg each. Ask your building manager whether your railing or wall can take that, and we'll give exact weights for each kit.
Does my balcony have to face south?
No. South gets the most sun of the day, but east and west balconies get strong morning or afternoon and evening sun. All three work.
Can panels go on a glass balcony?
Yes, with brackets the kit's maker approves for glass panels. Never use cable ties, rope or straps on any balcony.
My railing is shorter than 1.8m. Is that it?
Not necessarily. Smaller panels exist, and a solid balcony wall may give you another spot. Join the list with your measurements and we'll tell you what suits.
